Nako is a stark, cold-desert village at 3,660 m with a small alpine lake in the middle. Inner-line permit required (issued in 30 min at Reckong Peo). Base stop between Kalpa and Tabo. 1,000-year-old monastery and a completely different landscape from lower Kinnaur.
