Keylong at 3,080 m is the administrative HQ of Lahaul-Spiti, on the Manali–Leh highway. Kardang and Shashur monasteries flank the town. Main stop for anyone heading further into Zanskar (via Shinkula Pass) or Leh (via Baralacha).
