The Sangla → Chandratal taxi run is 204 km and takes about 7 hours in normal conditions, going via Mandi, Kullu, Manali. Chandratal sits at 4,300 m, so the last stretch climbs — plan a chai stop and let the driver pace the ascent. Fares are locked before you confirm on WhatsApp; no surge, no midnight spike.
