Rain-shadow safe zones

Spiti Valley, Upper Kinnaur (Nako, Tabo, Kaza), Pin Valley — under 200mm annual rain. Peak-clear skies July-August.

High-risk zones (avoid)

Mandi-Kullu highway (NH-3), Kinnaur landslide belt (Reckong Peo to Wangtu), Chamba road via Bharmour.
